Highly Functional PCR enzyme

Tth DNA polymerase is a family A DNA polymerase derived from the thermophilic bacteria Thermus thermophilus (Tth) HB8 (1). This polymerase exhibits reverse transcriptase activity in addition to DNA polymerase activity in the presence of Mn2+ ions. Therefore, this enzyme enables "one-step RT-PCR" including reverse transcription and PCR steps. Moreover, this enzyme exhibits 5'→3' exonuclease activity that can be used in the TaqMan® assay in real-time PCR.

RT-PCR Quick Master Mix (Code No. PCR-311) is the PCR master mix for one-step RT-PCR using Tth DNA polymerase. RNA-direct™ Realtime PCR master mix series (Code No. QRT-101, 201) is the PCR master mix for the one-step real-time RT-PCR using Tth DNA polymerase.
