This is Toyobo's brand name of its thermoplastic polyester elastomer, an engineering elastomer combining the characteristics of both rubber and engineering plastics. PELPRENE thus bridges the boundary between rubber and engineering plastics. It can be made into a variety of products, from ultra small, precision parts to wide sheets, by injection molding, extrusion molding, blow molding, and other methods. Among thermoplastic elastomers (TEPs), PELPRENE is closest to engineering plastics in properties and is very reliable.
